Red Hook, once a secluded fishing village, also boasts fabulous and fun restaurants, bars, places to stay, shops, marinas, and charter companies.  About 20 minutes away from Charlotte Amalie by car, taxi or bus, it has the fastest ferry ride to St. John, USVI and Tortola Island in the British Virgin Islands.
